So, what we're gonna do now?
The title says it all...
In about 2 weeks from this post, Arenanet will nerf the most loved Shadow Form. Since this is used in alot of builds, pretty much 90% of Guildwars will fall apart for people.
Instead of keep farming on the Shadow Form way, we should try to search some new builds, the excists without any form of Shadow Form, and we should do it NOW, and don't wait till nerf, elsewise their will be problems about clearing anything.
Like anybody knows, Underworld is the most beloved place. Obviously, we need to search a replacement, but it still should be faster then builds before the "Great Update", elsewise we take 3hours for a clear, and that is a little bit over the top.
So, why don't we start discussing about some new idea's in this topic, and maybe try to form teams in this way. All suggestions (UW, FoW, DoA,...) are welcome, since we are going to rebuild a nice, and fun new Guildwars Farming!
Underworld:
In the Underworld the new build should have a split-team tactic again.
As what I think a Rt should be able to do Mountain solo, with different build then normally.
Please, join in the topic, I'll update it daily with fresh idea's for anything!
Let your thoughts go!
(Excuse me for the bad language in the title ) )

We can't really "start" making new builds to replace SF, because most likely, many other skills will get affected by the update.

You don't know that. If they were going to smiter's-boon SF, they could have done it easily long ago. If they're trying to find a balance that lets SF work for ordinary usage (including regular event farming and runs) while stopping abuses, then that would explain why it has taken them so long. Broken farming of elite content is hardly 90% of GW for most players. Let's just wait and see what they do before trying to undo it.

another omg shadowform is going to be gone i suck to bad to figure out how to really play topic?
you won't know what skills are effected until the update
anet will probably fail to even fix shadowform like they fail at everything else they do
but in all seriousness i hope they fix all those broken overpowered skills that allow speedclears to begin with
speedclears are a big part of the reason this game is falling and falling fast

I laughed a bit, SF nerf isn't the end of the world. I would like to see it left here for some tanking, and running. But speedclears need to go, balanced is the way it's meant to be, not 15-30 minute speedclears of the elite areas of the game. I perma some things, but I won't be sad to see this go.

Nope, it really isn't a topic to replace it.
I just hated SF, it was fun for a while though, but they ruined the game.
Just, allready looking forward to NEW builds, that would make GW again more fun.
Don't read 2 words, and then reply in 2 seconds like you readed it...

Man, I must be in the 10% that doesn't give a rats arse about SF, then.
I doubt it will be two weeks. The test krewe isn't in place yet, and we're due to tinker around with the skills before nerf if Regina's post reads correctly.

Have to agree with some of the comments above.
1) Not even close to 90% of the players will run out of things to do IF there is a Shadow Form nerf. Regarding a nerf anyway I believe more into adding monsters that can hit you through SF (or damage 600s for that matter) than in changing the skills that allow you to maintain SF (or to 600 for that matter).
Whisper ten random players in LA or Kammadan and see how many play perma or 600 all the time... You might get 2-3 that do it sometimes and maybe 1 that does only that (if that many)
2) As someone else said, if they update 50 skills why would you prepare new builds now? Knowing they might not work after the update?
In any case, I think effective, balanced way to clear UW would be nice to discuss/find.

This is what gonna happen:
ArenaNet will be to scared to nerf SF for ragequits. They will hold it off longer.
If they nerf it, they will get a ton less money in MT and GW2 sales.

We are already doing DoA runs with an Obs flesh tank. sure it takes 30 min longer but thats fine. People that QQ about SF nerf are people who don't know how to play the game and are to lazy to make new builds. Sure people will probably quit and prices will rise but who really cares? use the builds we used BEFORE sf.

90% of GW will fall apart seems a bit DRAMATIC to me IMO. But I do not think there will be any problems for anyone after it. IF anything hopefully ecto prices will rise once again and it will actually be a worthy achievement to simpy own one like the good old days. Not long ago a couple guild members and I went into the UW to do some stuff. They both had heroes running great builds, and one of my guildies was a spirit rit which worked amazing there. As for me and the other member, we were both warriors running wacky non warrior weapon builds (I was running daggers he was using a scythe). We beat some faces in and it was fun. We did accidently overaggro (or i forget exactly what happened) but at one point we did end up dying. Other than that,
SF sux, has sucked and always will suck lolololoollloplololloololaolalllollololololol

The only people who are going crazy over this news and will potentially quit GW are the same kind of players that I want nothing to do with.
Also, trying to create builds based on what might and might not be nerfed is silly. You have no idea of how badly some skills might be nerfed or buffed, which skills exactly will be nerfed or buffed, and how they become nerfed or buffed.

Since we don't know what the actual update is, it's hard to say. We don't know whether SF will just be slowed down a lot (but still usable), be useless as a farming skill in the popular areas like UW, dungeons, etc (but useable in other areas), or just be useless to the point it might as well not exist. There's no point planning for any of these circumstances since we don't know what the actual change will be, whether any other key skills will be changed (both in the SF build and in 600Smite/other prominent farming builds), and whether any monsters will be changed/given new skills. You could expect people to try adapting SF and other builds if they are affected, and other people to fall back on older build styles. Perhaps some professions will have skill buffs to make them more useable in farming.

Ironically enough I just a few days ago created a sin, and am having a blast with him.
I'll do what I kept doing up to this point, farm COF when I have nothing better to do, and wait for alliance teams to organize for UW and HM dungeons.

I strongly suspect that your with me in the 90% that doesn't give a rats arse about SF.
Its just the 10% that use it that go on and on and on about it.
Pretty sure they will find a new build soon though.

OMG they will kill our SF! What we're gonna do?
LOL! Relax. There will be new builds. People will find new combinations of skills in just a few hours. It's impossible to nerf every farming build: that means changing 75% of the skills. They might touch a little SF and 600/smite, but there will be replaced with new farming builds in no time...

hey im no conspiricy theorist but maby the farming build nerf is so that people quit so they can shut down servers?
and when shadow form dies we will all move on into a new build/skill set like the shadow form trio that makes people rich and happy then one day there will be someone sitting in kama going "OMG HES 733T AND RICH I WANT TO BE LEET AND RICH GIMME URS MONY NOOOB" then the rich person would say no and the other person will start hating them/their build
